Toyota Woordfees Poster Series
Shared Frequency
The Toyota Woordfees is all about connecting people through art and conversation and that’s exactly what this poster series explores. The idea behind Shared Frequency is communication: how stories, music, and voices can bridge the spaces between different communities.
One poster uses two paint cans strung together like old-school telephones, showing how creativity can keep us talking even when we’re worlds apart. The other connects two faces through a speech bubble made from a Stellenbosch poet’s words, turning language into a literal bridge.
The split colour scheme shows that divide and how art can run right through the middle of it, pulling both sides closer. The rough, hand-drawn style and bold, messy type give it an honest, human feel because connection isn’t perfect, but it’s real.
